Laptop Data Transfer

After a busy week due to buying new cars and sorting out paperwork I'm a little behind in my blogs! Back with it now though and worked on some laptop data transfer for a student this morning. She had presentations due this week and needed work exchanging from one laptop to another. As straight forward as this would seem it didn't end up being that way.

One laptop was failing to boot up. She didn't want the expense of sorting the extra laptop out and just wanted data of it temporarily to get on with her uni presentation. Instead of repairing the laptop I simply booted to safe mode recovered the data to usb pen and transferred it across for a nominal charge. She said she did intend to get the laptop repaired at a later date but was more concerned with getting her presentations out the way and work in!
