Laptop Screen Repair

Late last night I was contacted by a student needing their laptop screen repaired as they had managed to smash it. I always take it upon myself to be a bit nosy and ask how it happened, sometimes the customer and I share in a laugh about it other times not so much. Turns out alcohol, youtube and what the next song to be played was don't mix well and resulted in a crack LED screen pictures below.

Afer removing the screen bezel and screen screws which hold the LED screen to the hinges I could determine the LED model number to ensure compatibility for the new screen. I do find it strange that two laptops the same make and model can have different screens, but I guess the technology moves forward so quickly that this  happens.

Screen was shipped out last night so all being well will be fitted later today and back to her this evening. Luckily for her we managed to get her the best deal and she was not left enduring a big cost.
